What traveling with children changes here

Traveling alone
Both lodges price per room, so one traveler pays close to a full room. The reef lodge does have three single cabanas and they are cheaper
Two of you
Straightforward at both lodges and the boat trips are priced per head, so nothing else changes
With children
What this one is for. The forest lodge has family cabanas, the reef snorkelling is inside a protected shallow, and there is a minimum age of six on the boat rather than twelve
Six or more together
Two families is the ceiling at the forest lodge, which has six cabanas in total. The reef lodge can take more but then you are splitting the group across two properties
How the rooms work
Family cabanas for four at both, or two cabanas for five and six. The forest lodge has no adjoining rooms and the cabanas are separate buildings
If one of the party drops out
The cabana rate holds and the per head figure rises. The boat trips refund per head up to seven days out
What the party does together
All of it, and the lodges are small enough that the party eats together whether it plans to or not
Who this one is not for
Anybody who needs air conditioning at night in the forest. Two of the six cabanas have fans only, and we will tell you which ones you are getting

The last two rows lose this office bookings and they stay on the page anyway. A trip that does not suit the people you are bringing is cheaper to find out about here than at the airport.

What is included

  • Eight nights, four at a forest lodge and four at a reef lodge
  • All meals at the forest lodge and breakfast at the reef lodge
  • A driver for the transfer between them, and both airport transfers
  • Two guided forest walks and one cave morning, all at a children's pace
  • Two snorkelling boat trips inside the protected shallow, with equipment
  • Park and marine reserve fees for the whole party

What is not included

  • Flights, quoted separately
  • Lunches and dinners at the reef lodge, which is deliberate: there are places to eat
  • Any diving, which is a different qualification and a different price
  • Gratuities at both lodges, which are pooled and expected
  • Anything medical, including the insect repellent you will want
  • Travel insurance

What it costs

from $2,740 per person

What it covers
8 nights, two lodges, forest then reef, a driver between them.
What it assumes
Two people sharing a room, unless the party rows above say otherwise for your case.
What moves it
The month, the room grade, how far ahead you book, and above all the size and shape of your party.
When it becomes a number
At confirmation, in writing, with the operator named. Until then it is the bottom of a real range and nothing more.

No payment is taken on this website. You pay the operator directly and this office never sees a card.

Season, and what it does to a child's day

December to April. That is the dry season and it is the whole answer.

June to October is the wet season and the forest lodge closes for six weeks of it. The reef is swimmable year round but the visibility in September and October is poor enough that the snorkelling stops being worth the boat ride.

What gets settled when you confirm

Ages, because the boat has a minimum of six and the cave morning a minimum of eight. Which cabana at the forest lodge, since two have fans rather than air conditioning and that decides how well anybody sleeps. Whether four nights each is the right split for your party. And the dates, because the forest lodge has six cabanas and Christmas is taken a year ahead.
