What traveling with children changes here
- Traveling alone
- The cabins sleep four and price as cabins, so a single traveler pays for space nobody uses. This is the least sensible trip on the list for one
- Two of you
- A two person cabin exists and is cheaper. The activities are per head and unchanged
- With children
- The whole reason this trip exists. Thermal clothing is provided down to toddler sizes, the husky and reindeer visits have no lower age limit, and the base is a five minute walk end to end
- Six or more together
- Two or three families is easy, because the cabins are separate and there are eleven of them. This is the one trip here that gets better with more people
- How the rooms work
- Cabins for four, with a mezzanine the children generally claim. Two person cabins on request
- If one of the party drops out
- The cabin rate is per cabin and does not move. Activities refund per head up to fourteen days out
- What the party does together
- Meals in the cabin, activities together. There is no group beyond your own party
- Who this one is not for
- Anybody who is cold at minus fifteen and unhappy about it. That is the ordinary temperature and no amount of clothing changes the fact
The last two rows lose this office bookings and they stay on the page anyway. A trip that does not suit the people you are bringing is cheaper to find out about here than at the airport.

- A husky morning, a reindeer afternoon and one evening out looking for the lights
- Airport transfers, which in winter here are not something to arrange yourself
- A snow toy store at the lodge, free to borrow
What is not included
- Flights, quoted separately
- Four dinners and all lunches, though the cabin has a kitchen and a supermarket is close
- The snowmobile, which has a minimum age and a separate price
- Alcohol, which in Finland costs more than visitors expect
- Anything guaranteeing the lights, which nobody can promise and we will not
- Travel insurance

- At confirmation, in writing, with the operator named. Until then it is the bottom of a real range and nothing more.
No payment is taken on this website. You pay the operator directly and this office never sees a card.
Season, and what it does to a child's day
Late December to March. January and February are the coldest and clearest; late March gives longer days and easier traveling with small children.
November and early December have snow but very short days. April loses the snow. Outside those months this is a different place entirely and we would sell you something else.
What gets settled when you confirm
Ages and sizes, because the thermal clothing is fitted before you arrive rather than handed out on the day. Cabin size, which depends on the party. Whether you want the snowmobile, which has a minimum age of fifteen for a driver. And the dates, because Christmas and New Year here are booked a year out and priced accordingly.
