What booking together changes here
- Traveling alone
- Possible, and there are two single cabins carrying a 70 percent supplement. You join whoever else is aboard, which most solo travelers say is the best part
- Two of you
- One twin or double cabin, no supplement, and you are two of sixteen
- With children
- From seven, and the operator means it: there is a wet landing on most days and a ladder from the panga
- Six or more together
- What the figure above assumes. Eight or more booking together takes the published rate; twelve or more gets the second guide included; all sixteen and the itinerary itself becomes negotiable within what the park permits
- How the rooms work
- Eight twin or double cabins and two singles. Cabins are small and none of them adjoin
- If one of the party drops out
- Below eight travelers the group rate lapses and the per head figure rises by about 12 percent. This is worth knowing before you promise anybody
- What the party does together
- All of it. Sixteen people on a small ship for eight days is one party whether or not it started as one
- Who this one is not for
- Anybody who is uncertain at sea. The crossings between the outer islands are done overnight and they are not always calm
The last two rows lose this office bookings and they stay on the page anyway. A trip that does not suit the people you are bringing is cheaper to find out about here than at the airport.
What is included
- Eight nights aboard a sixteen berth ship, cabin with private facilities
- All meals aboard and drinking water throughout
- Two guided landings a day, both licensed and both included
- All park entry and marine reserve fees, which here are a large share of the figure
- Snorkelling equipment and wetsuits in every size aboard
- Transfers between the airport and the ship at both ends
What is not included
- International and internal flights, quoted separately
- Alcohol and soft drinks aboard
- Gratuities for the crew and guides, which are pooled and for which we will give you a figure
- The diving option, which needs certification and is separately priced
- Anything medical, including whatever you take for motion
- Travel insurance
What it costs
from $5,890 per person
- What it covers
- 8 nights, a small ship of sixteen berths, chartered whole or joined.
- What it assumes
- Two people sharing a room, unless the party rows above say otherwise for your case.
- What moves it
- The month, the room grade, how far ahead you book, and above all the size and shape of your party.
- When it becomes a number
- At confirmation, in writing, with the operator named. Until then it is the bottom of a real range and nothing more.
No payment is taken on this website. You pay the operator directly and this office never sees a card.
Timing a party of six or more
The islands work all year and the two seasons are genuinely different rather than good and bad. December to May is warmer, calmer water and hotter land. June to November is cooler and rougher with more wildlife activity in the water.
If somebody in the party is uncertain at sea, take December to May and say so when you book. That single fact matters more here than the month.
What gets settled when you confirm
How many berths you are actually taking, because eight is the line where the published figure applies. Cabin allocation, which on a ship this size is a real negotiation. Which of the two itineraries the park has licensed for your week, since they visit different islands. And the deposit, which for a group booking is taken earlier and is larger than the single traveler rate.
