What traveling on your own changes here
- Traveling alone
- The single supplement is $340 for the nine nights, which is the lowest on this list. The operator caps it deliberately to keep solo travelers on the departure
- Two of you
- Straightforward. Twin or double at all three bases, no change to the figure
- With children
- From ten. The gorge walk has a boardwalk with a handrail throughout and children generally like it, but two of the days are long in a coach
- Six or more together
- Six or more changes the group's balance and the operator will ask. It is allowed and it is not free: they may add a second guide, which is charged
- How the rooms work
- Singles at all three bases with the capped supplement. Twins and doubles at the per head figure
- If one of the party drops out
- Your booking stands alone. If a room was held as a twin it converts to a single and the supplement applies from that point
- What the party does together
- Coach days and dinners together, afternoons loose. The capital is free time entirely
- Who this one is not for
- Anybody who dislikes coaches. Three of the nine days involve two hours or more of road
The last two rows lose this office bookings and they stay on the page anyway. A trip that does not suit the people you are bringing is cheaper to find out about here than at the airport.

What it costs

- What it covers
- 9 nights, a small group of no more than fourteen, three bases.
- What it assumes
- Two people sharing a room, unless the party rows above say otherwise for your case.
- What moves it
- The month, the room grade, how far ahead you book, and above all the size and shape of your party.
- When it becomes a number
- At confirmation, in writing, with the operator named. Until then it is the bottom of a real range and nothing more.
No payment is taken on this website. You pay the operator directly and this office never sees a card.
The months that work, and the ones we would talk you out of
Late May to early October. June and September are the two months with the mountain weather and without the July crowds at the lake.
The mountain base closes from November and the gorge boardwalk shuts when the water is high, which in spring is often. We do not sell this route in winter.
What gets settled when you confirm
Whether you want a single room, and therefore whether the supplement applies. Which of the three bases takes the last three nights, since ending in the capital and ending in the mountains are different trips. The cooking afternoon, which has a maximum of eight and fills. And the departure, because these run every ten days in season.
